Strategies for Games

Games are more than time-wasters. They are emotional rollercoasters filled with excitement, suspense, anger, and victory. They make us grin, think, and sometimes turn fiercely competitive. Over the years, I’ve developed techniques that boost my chances of winning while adding thrill and drama to every session.

These strategies aren’t just about playing well—they create an environment where I enjoy every twist and turn. From Shiritori and UNO to the Liar Card Game and Battleship, each game brings different emotions. I’ve learned to use those to my advantage.

Shiritori

shiritori

I try to create words that end with “y” to trap my opponent. Words like “gently,” “toy,” and “boy” are tricky for them to continue from, giving me the edge.

UNO

When someone’s almost out of cards, I strike. I play +2 or +4 cards to make them draw more. I also use Reverse to change direction or drop a Wild to change colors and mess with their strategy.

Liar Card Game

I lie when the risk is low—early in the game. As the pile grows and stakes rise, I switch to telling the truth. This way, I lower suspicion and blend in with honest plays.

Battleship

Battleship is simple but smart. I focus on finding the aircraft carrier first since it’s the longest. I fire at one end of the grid, skip four spaces, then fire again. This pattern helps me quickly locate large ships. Once I find one, I use the same logic to track down the rest.

By using these approaches, I turn casual games into calculated fun. Check this out for more strategies: https://medium.com/super-jump/how-to-win-at-every-game-ever-9dbf9964dbe7

They’re not just about winning—but about enjoying every move, bluff, and surprise.
